Bigger bombshell: Atomic Blonde premieres projected in Sony 4K

The hotly awaited Universal Pictures International release Atomic Blonde receives its world premiere on 17th July at Theater am Potsdamer Platz projected in Sony Digital Cinema 4K for big-screen thrills bursting with detail, colour and jaw-dropping contrast.

 

Starring Charlize Theron, James McAvoy and John Goodman, Atomic Blonde has been shot on location in Berlin and Budapest by David Leitch in his solo directorial debut. Oscar® winner Theron takes the title role as ice-cool Lorraine Broughton, a lethal MI6 assassin dispatched to recover a priceless intelligence dossier. Produced by Focus Features, Atomic Blonde is distributed in Germany by Universal Pictures International.

 

The world premiere of Atomic Blonde is presented in Sony 4K using the SRX-R515DS dual projection system. Ideal for PLF (Premium Large Format) installations, the high-contrast projector pair delivers a spectacular 30,000 lumen brightness and 8000:1 contrast ratio – ideal for screening the latest wave of movie releases in High Dynamic Range (HDR).

 

All projection facilities for the premiere screening in the 1,627-seat auditorium at Theater am Potsdamer Platz are being provided by zweiB GmbH.
