Cinema For All is very excited to announce the full programme for the 2019 Community Cinema Conference, taking place in Sheffield from 20 – 22 September.
Some highlights of this year’s conference include a masterclass from Rebecca Ellis on cult musicals and their lasting charm alongside an exciting screening, a session on making your film screenings more welcoming and accessible, and ‘The Big Debate’ where we discuss cinema for all vs cinema for all, chaired by writer and broadcaster Danny Leigh.
There will also be masterclasses and workshops delivered by members of the Cinema For All team, including one offering invaluable advice on fundraising for your community cinema.
On the Saturday night, you will attend the Film Society of the Year Awards and after party, where we will get together to celebrate the incredible work of community cinemas across the UK! We are thrilled that Jeanie Finlay, documentary director extraordinaire of Sound It Out, Seahorse and Emmy nominated Game of Thrones: The Last Watch will be co-hosting the awards this year.
