Over the past few years, however, there has been a huge increase in the production of 3D films. “Narnia“ Premiered at Medieval Tournament - Landsberg, Germany. The German premiere of „The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” (Walt Disney Pictures) took place in very adequate surroundings – right in the arena of ancient Kaltenberg Castle in Upper Bavaria, erected in the 13. century, where the world’s largest annual Knights’ Tournament currently is being held. The fantasy blockbuster was perfectly in line with this exciting mixture of competing knights, Middle Ages market and varied artistic supporting program.
In anticipation of the imaginative movie adventure, Kaltenberg Castle presented a short knight stunt show. Then the 8,000 visitors let the 24 metres wide, brilliant cinema pictures carry them away to the never-never land called Narnia. The projection was organised by the zweiB GmbH company, which took Kinoton with equipment and support on board. The Kinoton technicians installed and adjusted the FP 25 D film projector in use and attended to the projection.
