Village cinema to get a multiplex makeover

VandurLubna, one of those village talkies which used to attract a large number of movie buffs during the 1970s, is all set for a makeover. The theatre owned by Vandurpanchayat, which was closed down a few months ago after running into loss, will soon be turned into a multiplex. This would be the first-of-its-kind project by a rural panchayat.
