The Welsh Government’s Transforming Towns Placemaking Grant Programme has awarded a £250,000 grant for the redevelopment of a former cinema building in Cwmbran. The grant will support significant building works to enable future occupation, including removing derelict cinema fitout and making the building safe. The project aims to transform the vacant unit into a state-of-the-art family entertainment facility with a Trampoline Park and various attractions, contributing to the revitalization of the town centre and attracting more visitors. The grant conditions require a project commencement in October 2025, with the building expected to open to the public by March 2026.
