Flyover Releases Cinematic Immersive Films to Theaters Worldwide for First Time

posted in: All News | 0

Flyover, operated by Pursuit Attractions & Hospitality, has launched a global content licensing division to distribute its immersive flying theater films to venues worldwide, marking a significant milestone in the industry. Previously exclusive to Flyover’s locations in cities like Vancouver and Las Vegas, their films will now debut at other attractions, starting with “Wonders of the American West” at Take Flight in Wilderness Resort in January 2026. This move responds to the growing demand for high-quality content among the over 50 flying theaters globally, many of which lack in-house production capabilities. Flyover’s films, renowned for their two-year production cycle using advanced technology and elite creative talent, are designed to integrate seamlessly with multisensory theater systems. This expansion promises to broaden Flyover’s storytelling reach, as highlighted by COO Lisa Adams, by offering access to their library of films set in diverse locations such as the Western U.S., Canada, and Iceland.

Hi Peter,

I wanted to share an industry-first development in the immersive entertainment world: Flyover, the award-winning flying theater experience, has officially launched a global content licensing division, making its cinematic films available to theaters and attractions worldwide for the very first time.

Flyover, operated by Pursuit Attractions & Hospitality (NYSE: PRSU), has spent more than a decade setting the standard for real-footage, aerial-cinematic experiences. Until now, its films were exclusive to Flyover’s own attractions in Vancouver, Las Vegas, Chicago, and Iceland.

That changes today.

As part of the launch, Flyover has secured its first partner: Take Flight at Wilderness Resort, which will debut Wonders of the American West in January 2026, marking the first time a Flyover film will screen outside a Flyover-owned location. The film will run for two years.

What makes this significant for the industry:

  • Growing demand: There are now 50+ flying theaters globally, yet very few can produce world-class content in-house.

  • Premium craftsmanship: Flyover’s films take ~2 years to create, using custom gyro-stabilized helicopter rigs, FPV drones, and real-location cinematography.

  • Elite creative talent: Collaborations include drone-racing champion Gabriel Kocher, and acclaimed composers such as Elliott Wheeler, Big Dipper, and Tom Holkenborg.

  • Custom tech integration: Every film is engineered to sync precisely with motion seats, projection systems, 35-channel spatial audio, and multisensory effects.

  • Global expansion: The new licensing arm opens Flyover’s library—featuring the Western U.S., Canada, Iceland, and more, to immersive venues worldwide.

“This milestone allows us to bring Flyover’s storytelling to millions more guests,” says COO and Executive Producer Lisa Adams. “Very few attractions have the capability to create this level of content—we’re excited to support them.”

I’d be happy to connect you with Flyover’s leadership team for a deeper look at how the licensing program works. Here are media assets for a potential piece on Flyover.

Kind regards,
Elena
