Dutch singer Yves Berendse recently fulfilled a childhood dream by performing beneath a 14m Y-shaped LED wall at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome, created using INFiLED’s AR Series screens by MHB AV. The visually stunning display, featuring AR3.9 panels, became a standout element of the sold-out concerts, showcasing the seamless integration and high-quality visuals of the LED technology. The project highlighted the innovative use of the AR Series panels’ mounting versatility and vivid imagery, impressing both the audience and industry professionals.

Against the backdrop of a 14m Y-shaped LED wall – constructed using INFiLED’s highly customisable AR Series screens – the Dutch singer celebrated the fulfilment of childhood dream by performing at the Ziggo Dome.

When Dutch singer Yves Berendse took to the stage at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome in June for two sold-out concerts, he did so beneath a colossal Y-shaped LED screen that became the instant visual signature of the shows. Measuring 14 metres tall and four metres wide, the spectacular centrepiece was built to order was by Dutch visual integration specialist MHB AV using AR3.9 panels from INFiLED’s ever-reliable, highly customisable AR Series of high-performance LED displays.

For Berendse, who shot to fame after his single ‘Terug in de tijd’ (‘Back in Time’) went viral on TikTok and topped the Dutch top 40 for six weeks, performing at the Amsterdam arena was a boyhood dream come true. To mark the milestone, his booking agency, Agents After All, conceived an ambitious stage design with a massive Y-shaped structure as its centrepiece – a challenge that required both the engineering and creative expertise of MHB AV and the high quality visuals, mounting versatility and seamless integration offered by INFiLED’s AR Series LED technology.

“One of the main challenges was the tight build schedule – we had just one day to complete the entire set-up,” recalls Thom Althuis, account and project manager at MHB AV, which worked with set designer Rock Solid Stage and additional technical experts, including lighting and audio specialists, to bring Agent After All’s vision to life. “Several technical teams were working on the same stage simultaneously. Because the ‘Y’ had decorative panels on the sides, we had to coordinate closely with the scenographic team – after each row of LED was installed, they would immediately follow up with the decor elements. Thanks to the M10 mounting holes in the AR Series panels, this process was seamless and efficient.”

Unlike standard staging systems, the AR Series’ M10 mounting holes (measuring 10mm in diameter) allow engineering teams to create virtually any shape or configuration, giving them complete creative freedom. In addition to its flexible mounting options, Althuis highlights the pristine visuals and fast, intuitive assembly as key considerations for MHB AV’s choice of the AR Series.

The 100cm × 50cm AR Series panel boasts 1,200 nits of brightness for crisp, vibrant imagery even under the stage lighting of arenas like the Ziggo Dome, and its magnet-assisted assembly and positioning pins and one-handed fast-lock system enabled the MHB AV-led crew to move quickly under pressure. At just 12.46kg per panel, the AR Series panels are also lightweight, reducing strain on the rigging and venue infrastructure.

To further streamline the build, the panels were transported in INFiLED’s purpose-built dollies, allowing the MHB AV crew to move them into the venue in pre-rigged mode. This sped up installation considerably and reduced the margin for error in the tight timeline. Behind the LED, additional truss and scaffolding ensured the giant ‘Y’ would remain structurally secure throughout the concerts.

The end result was a striking centrepiece that became a defining feature of the shows, which welcomed more than 30,000 fans across two nights. “Everyone, from our client to the lighting designer, the artist himself and the audience, was thrilled with the result,” says Althuis. “The massive INFiLED AR3.9 Y shape became an iconic visual element of the show and was widely praised.”

“It was a pleasure to help our partner MHB AV blend viral digital success with spectacular live presentation to create a template for how modern artists can bridge online and offline experiences,” adds Nicole Yang, regional sales director for INFiLED.

“This project plainly shows designs are only limited by our partner’s and client’s imaginations. Our products are more than ready to push the boundaries to help vision become reality.”
