The Ritz cinema in Penzance, a former 1930s picture house, has undergone a two-year restoration to bring back its Art Deco style. Saved from demolition and transformed into an arts venue by Merlin Cinemas, the building will reopen on September 20th with a dance night. The venue will host a variety of events including film screenings, dance nights, cabaret, drama, music nights, and keep fit activities, staying true to its historic era. Funding from Cornwall Council and the Growth Hub helped with restoration costs.
