The Savoy Cinema in Hayes, originally designed by architect George Coles, opened in 1939 and hosted various entertainment acts and films over the years. It was later acquired by Essoldo Cinemas Ltd., renamed Essoldo, and converted into a bingo club. The building has undergone changes, including false ceilings and office conversions, but remains well-maintained. Rumours suggest the Mecca Bingo Club within may close, reminiscent of the former Savoy-turned-Mecca Bingo Club in Burnt Oak.
