Regal cinema in Redruth expansion plans despite Cineworld threat

MANAGEMENT at a cinema in Redruth have submitted plans to expand its dining area in spite of a threat to the venue from a national cinema multiplex.

The Regal Cinema hopes to expand its restaurant and bar area to counter a rival planning application that could see a Cineworld complex built in Pool, along with an Asda supermarket and four restaurants, on the land next to Carn Brea Leisure Centre.
