Roll camera! UK’s last cinema carriage returns for Railway 200

The last remaining cinema carriage in the UK has been restored after 37 years and will host its first screening for a special Railway 200 celebration. Saved by volunteers and friends of the former manager, the mobile cinema will showcase British Transport films on a vintage projector at Swindon & Cricklade Railway. The restoration project, funded by the manager’s family friend and son, preserved its historical significance, offering a unique cinematic experience for up to 25 attendees.
