Star Wars has a long history of coming back to cinemas, and it looks like that particular chapter in the franchise’s history is going to get that bit longer. All because Vue is bringing back The Empire Strikes Back, and for the first time you’ll be able to watch it in 4K on a screen bigger than your house.
Vue is ready to reopen its cinemas to the public on 4th July, but since the pandemic has put most new releases on hold there’s going to be a distinct lack of things to watch – even after Tenet and Mulan arrive towards the end of July. So it seems re-releases are happening, and one of them, is going to be Empire. Not only is it the best Star Wars film, it’s also celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
