After years of controversy and disappointment, Newbury is to finally get its own cinema.
Plans have been submitted by the Scandinavian firm, Diputs, to build a 10-screen multiplex cinema and entertainment centre, in the town. There will be no need for any hidden subsidies and parking will be free. The project is estimated to cost more than £25m.
