As the cost of large format displays (LFD) continues to fall, the demand for bigger screens keeps growing, and manufacturers have been very obliging with larger formats, a range of sizes and the latest specifications and highest resolutions. Whether things continue in this direction after the pandemic crisis is anyone’s guess, but we can be reasonably confident that LFD will maintain its popularity as we slowly return to business as usual.
“Generally, the costs of LFDs are falling as size is increasing,” agrees Jon Booth, systems integration manager, CDEC. “More and more customers are looking to see if their budgets can move on to narrow pitch LED tile walls, to replace a large video wall or large single LFD.”
