Cards on the table, we’re already excited about the Al Qana development launching. The new social and dining destination, set to open in 2020, will be home to loads of shops, restaurants and attractions, not to mention a huge aquarium that will house the biggest reptile in the Middle East, a seven-metre long python.

The area will also have a huge cinema complex, Cinemacity Al Qana, that will include 15 screens, including a 26-metre wide screen that will be the biggest in the emirate once the complex opens.

The 2,000 seater cinema will feature RGB laser projectors and Dolby ATMOS surround sound, three VIP cinemas and private lounges for exclusive screenings and premieres.

A first for the region, a Presidential Theatre will also launch that features high-end laser projection, a bespoke menu of gourmet food and more.

A cinematic ampitheatre will also host outdoor events in the winter months and a Graffiti Lounge will overlook the ampitheatre and outdoor gardens where private events can be held throughout the year.

“The evolution of entertainment has given people the ability to watch movies in the palm of their hand, but nothing compares to the feeling of watching a movie in a cinema theatre on the big screen – the way it was meant to be seen,” said Hammad Atassi, CEO of Xclusive Cinemas.
