Dutch cinema sound system manufacturer returning to CinemaCon
Following the founding of Alcons Audio’s factory-direct operations in the USA and the company’s success in the cinema market around the world, Alcons Audio is returning to the coming CinemaCon convention in Las Vegas.
Taking place on April 20 – 23 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas NV USA, CinemaCon is one of the world’s most important cinema conventions, with attracting cinema owners and operators from over 80 countries. The 2015 edition sees CinemaCon celebrating its 5th anniversary.
Alcons Audio USA will be present with its range of evolutionary cinema loudspeaker solutions, based around proprietary multiple-patented pro-ribbon transducer technology, in which the company’s R&D department has a 30-year background.
On display will be the Cinemarray™ series, the cinema industry’s first dedicated cinema sound system utilizing line-source technology throughout. Specifically aimed at medium to large applications, the modular systems feature adjustable coverage to offer the entire audience the best possible cinema sound experience; A flat-SPL throughout the room, reduced influence of room acoustics and superb, non-compressed 1:1 digital sound reproduction.
Also on show will be the matching CRS pro-ribbon surrounds, that feature the exact same pro-ribbon transducer components as the screen systems; This same voicing enables a homogeneous sound stage for a seamless transition between front and surround systems; This perfect blend is particularly striking in immersive surround systems.
A further selection of Alcons’ C-series will be on display, including the space-saving CR1 ultra-compact screen system with 8-in system depth and the CR3 medium-sized 3-way screen system, for rooms around 300 seats.
