BFI to Release Newly Restored 4K ‘Doctor Zhivago’

The British Film Institute is to re-release David Lean’s epic romance “Doctor Zhivago,” which starred Omar Sharif and Julie Christie, to coincide with the film’s 50th anniversary.

The movie will run in U.K. theaters on Nov. 27 as part of the BFI’s Love season in a newly restored 4K digital version. Love, which runs from October to December, is dedicated to love stories in films and television shows.
