WP_20151218_11_31_49_ProParkway Cinema in Beverley is the first multiplex in the UK to install Christie Vive Audio and the first cinema in EMEA to install the new LA2 speakers specifically designed for smaller to medium venues in October. In fact, the brand new 6-screen complex is entirely Christie cinema solutions  –  Christie Vive Audio, projection including 4K, Christie IMB and SKA 3D audio processor too. Integrator Arts Alliance Media carried out the design and full installation.
Parkway threw open its doors for the first time for the biggest film launch of all time, to give audiences in Beverley Star Wars: The Force Awakens with pristine sound, as well as superb vision. Managing director Scott Marshall commented, “As an independent business, we only invest where we believe we can make a real difference to the community, and Beverley is exactly the right place for our newest cinema. We aim to offer the very best experience that includes offering the very best in audio for our customers. Having opened during the Star Wars release I am delighted that film fans are already commenting how great the sound is.”
Vive Audio’s sound reproduction is perfect, and allows people to hear subtle details in the movie soundtrack not picked WP_20151218_09_30_28_Proup by traditional cinema sound systems. Alongside that, the line array screen channels offer superb and punchy sound, delivering wonderfully uniform volume to every seat.
Chris Connett, Business Development Manager for Christie said, “There is 7.1 audio in every auditorium, including our new LA2 Screen Loudspeakers which just launched in October, and this is the first site to use it. The Parkway team was looking for a value-engineered solution, what you might call affordable excellence, and, although they had experience of other systems, they chose Vive Audio. I’m really delighted that through their integrator (Arts Alliance Media) the team at Parkway has really pulled off something very special in Beverley.”

“They also chose to use SKA-3D, not only used for DCI 7.1 playback, but also its powerful Video Scaler and A/V processor, which allows “Parkway” to host any number of pre-show events and alternative content shows too,” continued Connett.
The effort to get the doors open during before Christmas has been worth it, as Scott observed, “the customer reaction to both the Christie picture and sound has given Beverley the best Cinema experience that the town deserves.”
