When the Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) announced its 2022 lineup of films on Monday morning, it showcased filmmakers from around the globe. But one country notably missing from the mix was Russia. The festival said in a statement that it removed its Russian films from its initial lineup, due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.
