Members of a committee charged with organising the cinema, which will be located at the village hall in Keedwell Hill, have met with representatives from the British Federation of Film Societies who agreed to help stage a test screening in July.
The first film to be shown as part of the project will be Whiplash, winner of the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, on July 11.
