Incredible images have revealed what the inside of an 82-year-old abandoned cinema in Thurrock looks like.
The State Cinema in Grays, Essex, is being transformed into a Wetherspoon pub in coming years after a planning application was approved.
The art-deco cinema has been an icon of Grays since it opened back in 1938, and lies just off the main high street.
At full capacity, it could hold 2,200 people, and often utilised the large capacity and stage for theatre shows and community events.
It was so iconic, that the cinema itself featured in famous films like Ghostbusters and Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
