A West Manchester Township movie theater is currently closed after a popcorn machine set off fire alarms, according to a local media report.

Regal Cinema, 455 Town Center Dr., was evacuated Saturday afternoon, FOX43 reported. A Regal Cinema manager confirmed the theater would be closed for several hours while firefighters investigated.

York County dispatch received the fire call around 1:12 p.m. for a “smoking popcorn machine,” the report noted. The smoke caused the theater’s fire alarms to go off.

Patrons were given readmission tickets with proof of ticket or concession purchase, FOX43 reported.
