Record year for UK cinemas as Star Wars and James Bond movies help box office hit £1.2bn in 2015 | This is Money

Film fans flocking to see the new Star Wars and James Bond movies helped UK cinemas cash in just over £1.2billion last year, figures have revelaed – the highest amount on record.That was a 17 per cent increase compared to 2014, with the number of tickets sold jumping 9 per cent to almost 172million, according to the British Film Institute.
