Relive 9 decades of Kalamazoo State Theatre history as the iconic local venue is added to National Register

A downtown landmark, the Kalamazoo State Theatre, was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The State Theatre, located at South Burdick and Lovell streets in downtown Kalamazoo, originally opened its doors in 1927 as a vaudeville theater and movie house.
