Save The Cinema Museum Campaign Meeting October 30th @ 7:00pm

The old Lambeth Workhouse where Charlie Chaplin spent some of his childhood has been home to The Cinema Museum for 19 years.

Despite numerous attempts to buy the building over the years and promises in writing from SLaM (South London and Maudsley NHS Trust) that they would sell it to the Museum for a fair and independent price, they are now planning to sell at speed to the highest bidder, telling them The Cinema Museum’s lease expires in March 2018, implying that we can be easily evicted. We need your help.

Please come along to this meeting to share your ideas and formulate a plan to save the Museum. The meeting will be chaired by Jon Davies. If you have any questions or points that you would like answered or discussed at the meeting, you can email them to Jon, and he will ensure that they are addressed.Refreshments will be available.

Obviously this is a free event, but in order to manage the room capacity, could you please order a ticket via the Eventbrite website.

Thank you.
