The Luna Cinema, the UK’s leading open-air cinema company announces its biggest ever season of cinema under the stars with:

 

Luna Kids Cinema

The Luna Cinema launches the BRAND NEW outdoor cinema for kids, Luna Kids, running from July to September in six venues across the country.  The programme includes screenings of family-friendly classics such as The Lion King and Aladdin, alongside this year’s blockbusters including Paddington 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming as well as musical phenomenon The Greatest Showman.  Luna Kids will utilise the highest definition outdoor screen in the country, meaning a crystal-clear picture even in full daylight. With tickets starting at £12.50 for adults and £7.50 for kids, Luna Kids locations include some of the country’s most beautiful and historic sites, such as Hampton Court Palace, Hatfield House in Hertfordshire, Dulwich Park in London, Tatton Park in Cheshire, Heaton Park in Manchester and Priory Park in Surrey.

 

Luna Beach Cinema

This year The Luna Cinema is delighted to announce its new ‘Luna Beach’, which will see the country’s highest definition outdoor screen set up in prime position on Brighton Beach this summer. Alongside over 40 football matches live from the FIFA World Cup in Russia, Luna Beach Cinema’s big screen will play host to tennis live from Wimbledon, the British Grand Prix and an incredible selection of films from cult classics through to this year’s award winner.  There will also be a short film festival, called Brighton Beach Shorts, celebrating local film-making talent.

 

Over the summer period from 14th June until 15th July, beach revelers can grab an ice-cream, pull up a deck chair, crack open an ice-cold drink and enjoy one of over 80 open air showings.  Films taking to the big screen include this year’s award winners, such as Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water, Christopher Nolan’s “Dunkirk” and musical phenomenon The Greatest Showman, alongside some true classics such as “Top Gun”“Dirty Dancing” and the perfect film for a beach cinema… “Jaws”.

 

Tickets start from just £3. Audiences can also book premium tickets to include comfy seating and for the ultimate Luna Beach experience you can even book yourself a VIP beach hut, which seats four and comes complete with a fully stocked mini-bar and butler service.

And don’t forget The Luna Cinema’s main summer programme where film fans can choose from over 175 outdoor screenings taking place right across the UK.  Venues include some of the most prestigious and historically important sites in the country, from Royal Palaces, such as Hampton Court and Kensington Palace, to castles and manor houses, such as Warwick Castle, Chatsworth House, Westminster Abbey, the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, Leeds Castle, Kenwood House, Lulworth Castle and Harewood House, to name a few.  New venues joining the Luna season this year include York Minster, Guildford Cathedral, Belvoir Castle, Royal Windsor Racecourse, Danson House, Bolton Abbey, Osterley House and Peckham Rye in London.
