Universal Hall to remain closed and scheduled season of films axed until further clarity over face coverings

The Universal Hall in Findhorn will remain closed until further clarity is gathered about wearing face coverings in cinemas across Scotland.

This comes after the UK Government announced that people are required to wear face coverings in cinemas.

The hall was gearing up to screen Jane Austen’s beloved comedy Emma, And Then We Danced and A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.

The  auditorium had been restructured for social distancing with the introduction of a one way entry system and hand sanitisers installed.

However the uncertainty surrounding the rules about wearing face coverings in cinemas, resulted in the hall deciding to pull the plug on reopening for the time being.
