Today is the second official day of CineEurope 2013, Europe’s largest cinema conference where thousands of cinema professionals and enthusiasts have gathered to hear about the latest trends in the movie industry. Along with other key industry players, Sony has been showing off its 4K lens to living room offering and speaking to press about the future of digital cinema.
Today, Sony Digital Cinema is pleased to announce an exclusive deal between Eagle Rock and Vue Cinema to distribute the concert film ‘Aerosmith – Rock For The Rising Sun’. As of Tuesday 16th July, Eagle Rock will exclusively distribute ‘Aerosmith – Rock For The Rising Sun’ across selected Vue locations in the UK. Sony Digital Cinema is delighted to provide the technical support for this event and is committed to providing new content opportunities for its 4K customers.
Sony announced yesterday the launch of Theatre Management System Lite (TMS Lite – STM-100L), a workflow management system specifically catered to non-VPF customers, independent and small-medium sized cinemas. The solution is the sister product of Sony’s SRX-R515 projector but is designed specifically for exhibitors with up to five screens. You can find out more about the new offering here.
While both these announcements have been made at the show, Sony’s spokespeople have enjoyed a day of meetings, seminars and conversations with industry experts. Most of Sony’s conversations with event attendees have been focused on delivering the very best image quality to ensure cinema continues to evolve and thrive.
