Southend’s seafront needs bringing back to life. For many people that call the town home, it’s in drastic need of revitalising and modernising. Some even go so far as to call it a ‘dump’. That hasn’t been lost on those in authority as, this week, the £100 million Marine Plaza development was given the green light by the council. It will replace what was once The Foresters Arms pub, which was demolished last year.
