Jinni-Tech – the master of educational videos with the goal of striking RED Digital Cinema, is back. And this time, the focus is on the REDCODE RAW codec, and the origin of RED’s patent. To make the story short, Jinni-Tech claims that R3D is basically a JPEG 2000 wrapped in a QuickTime format, based on the CineForm RAW codec.
